I frequently must prepare Power BI dashboards and reports that will be consumed predominantly by persons not deeply familiar with the Power BI environment.I would like to have the ability to lock/unlock visualizations for editing on a report page. A locked visualization would not be able to be moved or resized. It also would not have the visualization selection box appear when interacting with the visual. cross filtering and selection of objects within a visualization should not be affected. This would allow a published dashboard to have reports that share the same "finished" look and feel as the dashboard view.

This is a great idea, it would make the user experience more seemless

I think this is a critical feature. Second level users, those for which the visuals are created will be modifying or altering visuals inadvertently resulting in rework. Ability to lock visuals in the desktop version should be a priority.

This would make this tool so much better. Even just some read-only ability across the board would be perfect for desktop mode. It would allow me to stop using multiple other tools if i could just lock everything down so that my team isn't dealing with it.
