Especially Tabular Models with large volume suffer from the quality of MDX generated by PowerQuery component. For example, the same queries made in Excel Pivottable are most of the time faster with a better MDX generation. Also, why not querying tabular models with DAX ! previewing queries with a subset are very slow in case of use of high cardinality attributes
