Report Server to support custom connectors or enterprise gateway-custom connectors
The new preview feature of custom connectors (https://github.com/Microsoft/DataConnectors) allows the Power BI desktop and gateway apps to consume data from custom connectors. It would be powerful to extend these additional data sources to the on prem report server as well. This could be done by supporting the custom connectors directly or perhaps by supporting the gateways which would then support the custom connectors. DirectQuery is important in this scenario.
