    Make slicers NOT delete when field is removed, so that they can be associated with a new field without having to create them

    You can't copy and paste a slicer (with all format options) because as soon you deselect the only data field it disappears. Why can't Power BI retain the visualisation with no fields (but with formatting) so that you can then add a new field to make a new slicer. When you first create a visualisation it creates an empty on in the report, so it is possible to represent an empty visualisation.
