The query editor only has two options "Apply Now", and "Apply Later". What if I've messed up my query and never want to apply the changes?
Please bring back the ability to discard changes made during the time the query editor was open

RE: Discard Query Changes
I have the same problem, I have a table I want to import. I've viewed "Column Quality" and had no errors however, when uploading it through an error and now cycles with the message...
Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'OLE DB or ODBC error: [DataFormat.Error] We couldn't convert to Number..
The current operation was cancelled because another operation in the transaction failed.
'. Very frustrating!!! Please fix it soon MS
RE: Discard Query Changes
Annoying that we cannot discard or proceed further. Just stuck there.
Please take it up on top priority.
I do not want to start fresh and create 30 pages again be
cause I cannot discard changes.
RE: Discard Query Changes
I don't want to have to go through and try to remember what pending changes I need to discard anymore.
RE: Discard Query Changes
Please Fix This
RE: Discard Query Changes
Its been how many years, and microsoft has still NOT FIXED THIS??? Such a simple feature...
RE: Discard Query Changes
A royal pain to not be able to discard changes in the Power BI Desktop client. Here is how I manage this pain....
Under Options, enable "Auto Recovery" and "Keep the last auto recovery version if I close without saving"
Now when there changes that should not be applied do the following (since I screwed up)
1. Close PBI Desktop (click on "Don't Save")
2. Open PBI Desktop (Auto recovery contains some recovered files that haven't been opened. Click on "View recovered files")
3. Auto Recovery - Available Files will list the "Recovered.pbix" file with date and time, select it and click "Close"
4. Auto Recovery says "ARE YOU SURE???"
5. Choose "No, remove these files" (I'm not crazy, YOU are PBI Desktop!!!!)
and click OK.
RE: Discard Query Changes
how is this not upvoted more??? This feature is borderline dumb to not have.
RE: Discard Query Changes
Absolutely necessary! It is already available in Excel Power Query, why not in Power BI???
RE: Discard Query Changes
I'm having this problem to. This is crazy!
RE: Discard Query Changes
This is unbelievable. I'm new to PowerBI, and while exploring the editor, closed without saving (didn't even think I changed anything). Now I see "There are pending changes in your queries that haven't been applied" and it will not go away. It MAKES me Apply Changes. Come here to find out the is a FEATURE REQUEST????? To quit without saving is a FEATURE REQUEST? And it's been on the books for YEARS?
Is Power BI a supported product? Is anyone out there?
