add a way to track or view a report's publish history. For starters it could have the following information: report name, when it was published, who published it, [optional] description what was changed

RE: add a way to view report publish history
When it's possible to maintain versions in a SharePoint library, it seems silly that this feature doesn't exist in PowerBI yet.
I'd expect to see a tenant level setting that would allow us to set a value for “x” number of versions to retain.
Workspace admins should then have the ability to see data and time of change to reports/dashboards and reinstate an older version if needed.

also add away to follow the user pbix versions and code (for backup also) . something like GIT
RE: add a way to view report publish history
Oh, also, should have a way to "rollback" to a previous version easily if needed.
RE: add a way to view report publish history
I'm trying to get more and more users building reports and sharing them to common workspaces to be accessed by others at the organization. I'm immediately seeing a challenge with them knowing how is adjusting reports and potentially overriding each others changes. Having a version history on these reports is really going to be critical in user adoption being successful.
RE: add a way to view report publish history
I'm surprised this doesn't already exist - I am one of many owners of a workspace with many reports, it's problematic that I can't identify who published what.
RE: add a way to view report publish history
Can anyone from MS please comment on this idea?

Need this feature both Power BI Service and On-Premise (Report Server)
