With the latest May updates, we now have the preview feature of the 'Relative Date Slicer'. We really like this new preview feature, but because of the fact that one essential thing for us is missing, we can't use it at all.

It would be great to manually set the start day of calender weeks, because our clients have different calenderweeks. Mostly managed by monday-sunday.

RE: Relative Date Slicer

Power BI team,
Please add this option.
As the ISO week starts on Monday and Slicer week on Sunday some of the data gets cut off .
Only acceptable start of the week day so becomes Sunday!.

RE: Relative Date Slicer

'@Power Bi Team, can you tell us when this option will be possible, otherwise we can't use the relative date option because our reporting weeks starts always on mondays,
Thanks a lot!

RE: Relative Date Slicer

We need to choose week start date ASAP. I guess adding it to the "Format" pane of the visual will make most sense.

RE: Relative Date Slicer

Yes please, our weeks start on monday. My clients cannot properly use the relative slicer now because it gives them the wrong numbers and confuses them. Even though my regional settings should be correct. Also, the option for ISO weeks would be great.

RE: Relative Date Slicer

Essential to include the ISO standard for weeks (Mon - Sun)

RE: Relative Date Slicer

Just to give my two Cents. For me it is mandatory that we can use the relative date filter with weeks from Monday to Sunday. Should not be that difficult. Please give us the option to choose.

RE: Relative Date Slicer

The DAX "WEEKDAY () " function has a parameter for "return type" that lets us specify whether we want the week to "start" on Monday or Sunday... I would prefer a parameter approach for the relative date slicer as well, because here in USA even though week "technically" begin on Sunday, many organizations still want to evaluate / compare weeks Monday -> Sunday not Sunday -> Saturday. If it "defaults" based on locale, that's fine, but please provide a way to override any locale based defaults. THANK YOU! RE: Relative Date Slicer

Indeed, it should be an option (preferably one that defaults to the culture used).

RE: Relative Date Slicer

I noticed this same thing, very annoying and sad. This should be out of the box feature in my opinion. I mean Power BI is used all around the world.
Should have the ISO 8601 as an option!
