I have many column headings which are quite long. In Excel I can change the text alignment so the column heading runs vertically rather than horizontally. By using a smaller font it can display a lot more information this way. Now that you have added vertical data labelling to charts can we have similar functionality in the tables and matrices?

Push, push, push. This is really important. I have 30+ columns with just a YES/NO value. Vertical column labels is the only way to make it work on a 4:3 page size.

Is this really that difficult to implement? NOone had the idea to implement this functionality? There were no demand for this feature? An visual with X axis can do this in certain situations, please implement this for matrixes too.

It's a must have. It has been two months that I work with Power BI and I cannot understand that there are a lot of functions / possibilities from Excel and not developped in it... A lot of people "sell" me Power Bi as the replacant of Excel but actually, it's not the case....

I need this for a matric heatmap, where the idea is to show lots of cells in a small space (narrow columns). Headers with horizontal text makes the cells too wide.

Essential. Otherwise Matrix is pretty much useless

Another vote, I could really do with this for reporting on AD group membership

RE: Vertical column labels in table and matrix

Another vote from me - I finally got around to rebuilding an arduous Excel report into Power BI, but the execs don't like it because the many column headers we need make it a mile long. And if they don't want to use it, they won't upgrade to PRO...

Must have for executive type summaries where you want to pack a lot of information on one table/page with color coding. BTW, thank you for conditional formatting update much appreciated!

RE: Vertical column labels in table and matrix

This would be great, as Poul wrote. We have KPIs, that are just little squares, but the names for these KPIs are much longer. Vertical alignment of the column header would make the table better readable and smaller. Thank you in advance for this feature.

This is essential to make the visual properly aligned and improve the readability
