In some circumstances, it's not desirable for data to be excluded from a visual because for some of its fields there is no data. The 'Show Items With No Data' feature mitigates this but enabling it causes refresh to take MUCH longer - too long to be acceptable to my users. An alternative is an option for PBI to automatically generate unknown members in tables that the user creates relationships for. Any textual fields would default to '(Unknown)' in this case.
