Would love the ability to export data as JSON as well as CSV. Not sure if others would find this helpful, but this would take my Power BI usability to the next level.

RE: Export data as JSON
Can we do this ?
RE: Export data as JSON
Great idea, the reason I applaud this is because the demand for Mandatory Business-to-Government (B2G) reporting datasets is growing strongly worldwide.
Governments, Internal Revenue Services, demand increasingly complete datasets from the accounting systems to check whether sufficient VAT has been paid through e-Auditing.
This is certainly a problem for international companies, each country wants its own file. A brief summary:
1. Already enforced
a. Germany GDPDU
b. Brazil SPED (Flat file and simple XML)
c. China CNAO version 2 (simple XML)
d. Portugal (SAFT PT)
e. Luxembourg (SAFT)
f. France FEC
g. Turkey E-Ledger
h. Mexico Electronic Accounting
i. Colombia
j. Peru
k. Austria (SAFT
l. Lithuania (SAFT)
m. Poland (SAFT JPK)
1. Announced
a. GCC (SAFT) 2018
b. Norway (SAFT) 2020
2. Work in progress
a. ISO/PC 295 – China CNAO version 3
b. XBRL –GL (no country uptake and enforcement yet)
Besides that, the demand for Business-to-Business reporting datasets is growing very fast.
Power Query (M) is the ideal tool with which the controller can retrieve the data from the bookkeeping himself, rename the fieldnames to what the relevant standard requires and model.
But then you still have to export it to an XML or Json file.
So, a great idea that certainly deserves implementation.
