Creating an encrypted authentication key that allows users to open a PBIX file or tabs inside it.
PBIX files hold intellectual properties of organizations and should be protected from unauthorized disclosure or distribution

RE: password

Its truly a need for Power BI to be able to protect IP techniques related to development of data models. This is a big weakness that MS needs to address urgently

RE: password

Seems an unbelievable oversight that this was not included in the initial product.

RE: password

In addition to a password just to open the file that houses the sensitive data, add a option for a password to open the underlying data source (i.e. under the "Edit Queries". Doing so would at least add some level of intellectual property protection for developers who want to model data sources and be able to monetize that effort . Bonus points for linking us to an engine that will allow me to monetize the data models I know need to be built!
