Please could we have the option to remove the currency symbol from the 'Currency General' number format as an automatic feature?
It's great to have the option for parentheses, but we need this without currency symbols in reports where we have multiple currencies to choose from as a selection slicer.
The manual FORMAT function is really too slow as a workaround.

Yes Please! Using the FORMAT function is not cutting it, because it turns all my numbers into Text. Thus, I can't sort descending or ascending properly. For descending, the column will sort from highest to lowest up to 0 then when it hits the negatives it sorts from largest negative to lowest. ex. 2.0, 0, (1.8), (0.3) when it should show 2.0, 0, (0.3), (1.8).

Ascending ex. (0.3), (1.8), 0, 2.0 when it should show (1.8), (0.3), 0, 2.0

RE: Accounting Format - Parentheses without currency symbols

This is a pretty standard formatting option in Excel. Seems strange that it's not available in Power BI.
