What about adding input fields to the dashboard widgets. Kind of like the text field but it is enabled for user input. This input field can be used in new column and new measure fields so that once the dashboard is set up the user can easily (without filtering) explore the data by entering different values such as if you had an input box for unit price. Then if you change it all the charts of total sales, revenue, etc. Will update to reflect what would happen if you increase the price by 10%. This will enable people to quickly and easily interrogate the data

Hi everyone. This is something we'd like to get to in the future but don't have any plans for at the moment.

RE: input fields
Пожалуйста, добавьте поле для ввода пользователем значений, например, для прибавления к мере, вычитания из меры, умножения/деления...
Спасибо.
Please add user field. Thank you.
RE: input fields
I want it !! any news about it
RE: input fields
Still in the backlog?
Three years later, we are still stuck with SSRS report builder for executing dynamic machine learning stored procedures that use numeric parameters because Power BI does not allow input fields that pass into queries. Our reports would look so much more professional if Power BI had this one simple feature. Do it, Microsoft!
RE: input fields
I've already built calculators like the one you're asking for my company. I can't share the data since it's not mine but if you guys want to see a video of this let me know and I'll apply the logic to a sample data set.
RE: input fields
If Microsoft wants, I can help you guys come up with the logic to include something like this fairly easily. Reach out to me @Will Thompson.
RE: input fields
There is a work around for these types of calculations. But you have to build a table with numbers formatted as text and then another column with the corresponding number formatted as a number. Then you can use the search function as an input field, and measurements doing the calculation you need.
RE: input fields
we need to have a search prompt in power bi desktop.
RE: input fields
Agreed. This feature is necessary.
