As an IT administrator I need a way to see all content (datasets, reports, dashboards) that has been created and shared across the entire online tenant. This is needed to be able to support content after employees leave the organization as well as to support our SOX auditing practices.

RE: Power BI Global Admin
Hi, this idea is under review for a while now, can you please give a status update?
This item is very important for us and all larger companies that must comply with legal goverment rules.
Our IT department must be able to control all the Power BI data sets, reports, etc. We need to know who is the owner, what data is involved, we must be able to move the objects from one user or group to another, be able to delete them, see what the security settings are, etc. We must be in total control of the Power BI objects in the tenant.
This is not only the case for Power BI, but also voor all Office 365 objects in Onedrive locations, sharepoint sites, etc.
Without this control for IT departments, Office 365 will never be adapted by the larger companies, because we must comply with our security rules.
At the moment, we only use Office 365 for a few Power BI users and retrieve data via the on premises data gateway.
We are unable to rollout office 365 any further than this, because we are unable to manage and be in control of the objects in our tenant.
Please raise de priority of this item, thanks!
RE: Power BI Global Admin
We are a large company and we realy do need to know who created datasets, reports and dashboard, what are the sizes, what is the security, etc. This is a must have for larger companies!
RE: Power BI Global Admin
The Power BI Admin has to be able to access all datasets because of the 200 dataset limit. I have created 80 datasets but the total use count in the Admin Portal is 122. I have no way of knowing who has created the other 40 nor do I have a way to manage them. This will become a critical issue as we add more datasets and have to remove old & unused ones.
RE: Power BI Global Admin
Needs to be possible to admin Power BI without grant of full O365 admin access.
RE: Power BI Global Admin
I agree that this would be a great feature.
more so if the following feature was implemented in the admin interface:
- Ability to define global styling templates for the end-user
-- This will greatly improve Tool standardization across larger businesses, thereby avoiding confusion regarding look and feel, and enabling universal training of users.
RE: Power BI Global Admin
This would be a great feature. We need PowerBI admin rights for people who may not necessarily be Office 365 admins.
In a lot of companies, the people managing the data, insights and BI will not be in charge ot IT.
RE: Power BI Global Admin
Ability to assign Power BI admin role to a non-o365 admin is very important. Also the current visuals in admin portal are not interactive. Example: instead of seeing the top used data and top user of all data, we should be able select the data source and see the top users for that selected data source.
RE: Power BI Global Admin
I echo Esteban' comment. My BI Admin should not have to be an O365 Admin to access this data or manage Content Packs.
RE: Power BI Global Admin
I think this is very important for enterprise. There is no way that a BI Lead Team or similar position would be a Office 365 Global Admin.
RE: Power BI Global Admin
I want to see who has access to which reports, which reports are being used, what data is used by which reports, and which reports use what data. This should also tie back to creating awareness about impact if an underlying table/input changes.
