Please add the capability to export Report Server PowerBI reports to formats like pdf, word, powerpoint. Some of this functionality exists in the service but please add it to Report Server.

We'd hoped we'd have a good way to bring this functionality to the server - however, after a lengthy evaluation of all the options and required investments, we're not planning to bring this feature to the server at this time. As a workaround, we suggest using the Export to PDF capabilities in Power BI Desktop for Report Server.

RE: Export Report Server Power BI report to PDF

We have just pitched Power Bi for a project that had a requirement to be able to export hi-res visuals as images so that they could be used in paper reports/presentations. We could be turned down (for a £40k project) because this feature isn't currently supported. The ability to export a whole report to PowerPoint is great (or will be when multi-select slicers are supported) and a PDF option would also be very welcome but PLEASE let individual visualisations be exported as images to prevent users from having to capture low-res screen grabs.

RE: Export Report Server Power BI report to PDF

I finally started to roll Power BI reports out to end users in my org yesterday. The FIRST question that BOTH people had was "How do I export this so I can share it with my external partners?" A little unfortunate that the best solution I had to offer to them was "take a screenshot".

End users of my reports always ask for this feature. This is a real short-coming when trying to promote the use of Power BI. Please include this basic feature ASAP.

RE: Export Report Server Power BI report to PDF

Whenever I tried to promote power BI to my clients, its really disappointing to say a simple PDF/Excel download feature is not available here, not all the users will login everyday to Power BI Service to check the reports. Please add download PDF/Excel features as soon as you can.

RE: Export Report Server Power BI report to PDF

Why is this not already available? I guess so that way companies have to use Power BI service instead of hosting on-premise? That really seems like the only reason I can think of because if it isn't that, Microsoft has seriously failed to anticipate what its users will do with Power BI reports

RE: Export Report Server Power BI report to PDF

In addition, the export to csv doesn't export sub or grand totals. So my customers slice/filter to get to the data they want, export it only to find that they have to go back into excel and redo the sub and grand totals. It's a complete waste of time. What's strange is I can see the sub and grand totals in the DIV/ on the Power BI report screen and I would normally use js to add an indentifier to the DIV and grab it (along with css) for the report print or export.

Needs to include export to CSV and Excel as well as a minimum, on a defined schedule (this time / this day of the week / daily / weekly / monthly) to this group of people.
