I have volumes of information to share with my teams that is best presented in tables and matrices. It would be a huge improvement if they were able to export the data from the visualizations and have the formatting in Excel match the formatting created within PowerBI.
This would be especially helpful for ongoing forecasting activities.

Thanks for your feedback on this issue - while we'd like to enable this, there is currently no timetable around doing so. There is the option as a workaround the create a paginated view as a drillthrough of the visual and have a formatted version you can export to Excel, but understand this isn't a solution everyone can take advantage of currently.

I must have had the same conversation 20+ times with different people in my organisation about this one feature. We have tons of matrices. In the real world, like it or not, users will want to export their data to excel.
We've tried the "Yes but do you REALLY need to export it to excel?" method. It doesn't work. They do.
You cannot explain this to a non-technical person and it make an ounce of sense.
"Yeah I know it looks all whacky, but matricies are different from tables you see. You could always try to create a pivot table in Excel... yeah just ask Clippy he'll help you"

Please add the ability to export formatted tables to .xlsx. My organization requires this. We have several custom formatted columns that is lost with download to .csv

I do not understand how after almost 4 years of this request, and with multiple comments and votes it haven't been solved yet. Please watch other tools like tableau, they do that!

In our organization all users are used to exporting data in excel so this is MUST needed feature to export the matrix format in excel instead of flatten data.

Much needed feature. Matrix visual is not useful without the capability of being able to export it in excel as it is.

Hi Team, when this will be done. I would request you to prioritize this because this something basic when looking at matrix or table visual user expect it to get exported with same formatting, and it's very difficult to convince user that this is something not supported by product. So please please take this on priority, i know it's the hard time but users don't like it that again after exporting data they have to do same steps which they had been doing earlier so it's waste of their time as well and not appealing to users.
