I have a report page with multiple charts and visualizations. Let's say one of the chart shows Sales by Year and I drill down into 2013 to see the sales by month in 2013. Currently, the drill-down has no effect on the other charts and visualizations on the page; they still show data for all years, not just for 2013. Instead, I'd like other charts to drill down into 2013 or filter by 2013 as well.

Well this is exciting! We've just shipped the December release of Power BI Desktop, and I'm very pleased to say we've added the ability to apply filters from a visual when you drill into it. This is now the default for any new visuals; you can turn it on for existing visuals (or disable it if you don't want it) through the Format tab. Look for "Drilling filters other visuals". This is really important, all my co-workers expect this to work naturally and its taking them time to understand how to master the filtering in the reports

A related thing to consider to improve drill-down behavior, is to provide bread crumbs as suggested in this idea: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/10218897-please-show-on-what-current-level-we-are-when-do
Proper cross-filter behavior at drill-down would enable other visualizations to show the current drill-down position, but having integrated bread crumbs would be better.

This is basic functionality that needs to exist for continued adoption of this tool. Would be great if chart report builders had the option to set each viz as a filter, which would enable the viz to serve more as a slicer that would stick as a user explores data in the other charts.

I mean this is the most respectful way but there way more votes cast for drill down, expand collapse in matrix, hierarchies, etc - (they are basically the same). We need the ability to go deeper into a report by drilling (expanding) rather than having to create several reports. Some of these suggestions are well over a year old. Why are these suggestions still "planned"?

Critical for me as well. I am unable to use drill-down in reports, as users are assuming the other visuals are also being filtered.

This one is critical for me, migrating from a Business Objects environment where most of my dashboards are dependent on their "Synchronize drill on report blocks" setting - this is the biggest gap i've seen in PowerBi

i quite agree come on PBI lets get this one addressed asap with 3000+ votes surely it must be on the roadmap ?

Can we get an update on status for this? I am coming from previous experience in Tableau and this is a big gap for Power BI and makes end users crazy.
