It would be great if slicers were searchable. Many times the list of possible items people can slice by is large, and having to scroll till you find the value(s) you are looking for is tedious.
Please enable slicers to be searchable (much like what Qlik has been allowing for years already).
Thanks.

Searchable slicers are available now in Power BI! Make sure you're on the June release or later of Power BI Desktop. You can find the search box by clicking the "..." menu on the slicer visual and selecting search.

RE: Searchable Slicer
Search should be keystroke based... once "a" has been typed only items starting with "a" should be displayed.
RE: Searchable Slicer
All my clients are asking about this ability.
A "must have" feature !
RE: Searchable Slicer
Hi Power BI team !
We are currently forced to use multiple slicers ie a single character slicer , followed by a first 2 character slicer followed by a first 3 character slicer to filter a field which is time consuming & difficult. It will be great if this could be fixed. Many thanks
RE: Searchable Slicer
Tableau also has this and it has been a major pain point in reports and demos of measures with more than a dozen members. Definitely will try the Index workaround!
RE: Searchable Slicer
Definitely needed!
RE: Searchable Slicer
My client can't depend on a slicer to search for the specific object in a database of 3,000,000 objects. Certainly it would be a life saver to add a search feature as it would open and breakthrough to market and make tons of users really happy.
RE: Searchable Slicer
This would be a welcome addition to PowerBI. Now a slicer list with all employees is not usable.
RE: Searchable Slicer
Often slicers are used to show detailed reports for a specific product. To search for a specific procuct would be very helpful.
RE: Searchable Slicer
I would also like this feature - sometimes our slicers are VERY long and search would really help
RE: Searchable Slicer
For me this feature will be an must-have for Power BI. I've a dataset with over 50.000.000 records, in a slicer I keep scrolling! A search field for a slicer will be very usefull!
