We are evaluating Power BI and found named sets are not accessible from Power BI. However, those are highly used features from SSAS, please include them in PowerBI

We have Blackboad based cube, in which custom and named sets, play important role. They should be supported.

Hello, is this functionality still under review? (Nov 25, 2014)
It would help a lot of users with a SSAS Direct Live connection since we would restrict upfront the amount of Data to pull out from the cube...

I've created about 45 Named Sets in my SSAS cube only to discover that I can't use this in Power BI. For a product competing with other vendors like Tableau, this is definitely a big minus on Power BI.

Named sets enable users to control the views more dynamically and hence should be an out of the box feature to enable more flexibility. Filtering and ordering of members is too basic to achieve what you need from a dynamic changing environment where time does not stand still.
