    Having an Essbase connector would be a huge help! We have the connector for SSRS to Essbase, why not Power BI? This is one of the remaining hurdles which, if cleared, would let us embrace Power BI across our whole enterprise!

    If you plan to keep up with Tableau and other solutions, you should start looking into it.. otherwise, your missing another boat like Microsoft did with Windows phone.

    Big advantage if it can connect to Oracle Database! Fundamental needs for every organization to analyze and showcase it cost & profit.

    Same issue here. We would like to be able to connect to our Oracle DB...

    Seems Tableau can do it and is more user friendly (easier Learning curve).

    Tableau has no issue connecting to ESSBAse,and now Oracle themselves is in this space (with a new tool called Oracle Data Visualization), available to connect to ESSBase. We would like to stay consistent with Power BI, but lot of pressure now that other tools handle ESSBase no problem. Seems if we cannot support ESSBase, Power BI will not be the BI tool for all, if it cannot handle this fundamental need of our Finance users.
