When entering the "See Records" view, it allows you to decide which columns you view while you are in the "See Records", but after exiting "See Records" it reverts to the original view and removes the edits.

There should be an option to save the edits made within the "See Records" view so the unnecessary columns can be removed and the important information can be viewed more easily, and can be saved so the report keeps the edits made when saved.

RE: See Records Column Setup

This is a HUGE problem. I have a column that defaults on every report to not show up and IT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT COLUMN. I can't get it to show up on the See records view without editing the report every single time I click into it. Not going to work for my end users.

RE: See Records Column Setup

What I have implemented in the meantime is adding the key fields to the tool tips section under the visual. This will allow you to set the order in which the column appears when using see records.

RE: See Records Column Setup

The see records view is what most of my users like best about PowerBI as they can actually get down to row level detail of what items caused a particular spike e.t.c. Being able to make this view more palatable is very important. Hope this gets picked up soon

RE: See Records Column Setup

In full agreement with Steven Brown - seems more like a bug or an idea that was not fully implemented. Why be able to rearrange and edit values but not have them saved for the end user?

RE: See Records Column Setup

I would argue that this is a bug, and not an additional feature, but it is hard to say since the documentation doesn't say one way or the other what the intended behavior is. https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-desktop-see-data-see-records/
