Be able to create email subscriptions for the PBIX reports in the Report Server

We’d hoped we’d have a good way to bring this functionality to the server – however, similarly to Export to PDF, after a lengthy evaluation of all the options and required investments, we’re not planning to bring this feature to the server at this time.

RE: Email subscriptions for Power BI reports in Report Server
It will be great if the decision can be reconsidered!
RE: Email subscriptions for Power BI reports in Report Server
Really ? It exists for SSRS reports. All your doing is sending an email essentially stating look at this report in this url. This is for the report server not the web application, is that why it isn't planned because the intention is to force people to the web? If so I believe you will do the opposite and push user to another solution such as tableau

I'm very disappointed to hear that the email subscriptions feature will not be available on-premise server and there is no other alternatives

I really hope the PBI dev team reconsider this one, as this is a major sticking point for a big amount of my stakeholders and agreeing on the transition to Power BI.
RE: Email subscriptions for Power BI reports in Report Server
Subscriptions are a basic and core feature of any reporting service. I am trying to convince my associates this is worthy alternative to the many other products out there. They will use the lack of this core feature to dismiss the product, and I will agree with them.

Agree with everyone's comments. Integrated functionality is native to SSRS and one of its differentiators. It's the reason we chose PowerBI over its competirors. Discarding integration diminishes the stature and value of the product. Why should an "on-prem offering" translate to a "mediocre product"?
