is it possible to add support for "duration" data type in the report view as in Power Query?

RE: field of "duration" type
is there any news on this Microsoft? I fail to see how so many years down the line this still hasn't been implemented.
How can copy and paste features take preference over a fundamental reporting data type?
RE: field of "duration" type
Hi, i would appriciate to have the time calculation ([h]:mm) function within the Tool and be able to show the times within the reports accordingly! many thanks...
RE: field of "duration" type
I'm just getting into Power BI and I ran into this issue. I already have the duration calculated in my Excel data source, so all I need the report to show is the value...in hh:mm. How on earth was this not done during the original build?
What use is a business intelligence tool that can't display time in hh:mm?
RE: field of "duration" type
Power Query doesn't calculate the duration correctly and the best solution in DAX is to create a "time text" formula, so you cannot sum or do other maths with it. With several duration values in seconds, that usually go over 24hrs (so Time is not an option), this is a must.
RE: field of "duration" type
This is basic functionality. And its been waiting 3+years for implementation.
Allow us at least similar make-up option as in Excel - treat the time as integer (for calculating purposes) and apply the time format as some kind of mask in next step.
RE: field of "duration" type
Badly need this Duration calculation on Power BI
RE: field of "duration" type
Es muy necesario
RE: field of "duration" type
Definitely need this in the desktop report side, not just in Power Query.
RE: field of "duration" type
When is this happening?
RE: field of "duration" type
When is this going to happen, Microsoft? You've added it to the Query Editor but not the report field?
