How sexy the data looks is sometimes more important than how accurate it is!
I love a light grey/dark grey colour scheme as much as the next person, but it be great to be able to brand the dashboard with the organisation colours/background watermark/logos etc. Maybe offer an option to modify the default CSS used - similar to how blogging sites like blogger allow you to change your page layouts/colours with a simple admin gui or completely change it by rewriting the CSS

When is this issue going to be fixed, Its so annoying to waste time formatting reports only to loose the formatting when you pin visuals to dashboard, we need to have much control on formatting the dashboards please!!

A good start for reports however I kind of feel the original poster's idea has been missed (and why it originally got so many votes), it doesn't address theming or branding of dashboards and the rest of the Power BI site. Power BI site should allow for similar branding and theming options as the SSRS 2016 portal.

Adding an image to the background of the dashboard would immensely help with the presentation of our data. Company is big on branding

need to be able to adjust dashboards theming including background, adding logos etc. to reflect branding of company that the report is servicing.

Why is formatting allowed on reports but the tiles do not retain formatting when pinned to dashboard? This functionality should have been part of formatting release for reports. If you can format a report, the pinned tiles should retain that format. It is not a good user experience to spend hours formatting a report only to discover none of the formatting is retained on the pinned tiles, thus ruined usability of the dashboard.

Two and a half years and this STILL is not implemented? My users are expanding into the phone app and using dashboards, and all I can tell them is "this bug/feature has been reported." Please update us with when this is to be released. Having all white cards is boring and breaks the well-planned theme we took so much time to create.

Good as far as it goes, but would be good if a theme could include more than just colors, eg defaults for background color and transparency (I have included a Background color in the json file but it is not recognised by charts after importing the Theme), title font/color, border color etc.
Also the ability to create a Theme from formatting created in a report.
