RE: incremental refresh for Power BI Pro
Yes! - must have feature - we're building a model that will receive about 40K rows per night... once it's been running for a couple of years it will be hopeless if we're refreshing all the data :(
Keep us posted on availability of this...
Many thanks,
R.
RE: incremental refresh for Power BI Pro
This is an absolute must. I doubt that anyone can provide valid argument against it. It can't be that difficult can it?
RE: incremental refresh for Power BI Pro
1.5 years under review. So disappointing. This feature is a must!
RE: incremental refresh for Power BI Pro
Tableau has a real advantage with delta loads and in order to make Power BI really match tableau, this feature is a must have and very critical for enterprise roll out.
RE: incremental refresh for Power BI Pro
We also really would need that otherwise there is no way to work with larger data sets (e.g. usage data) if modeling is needed.
RE: incremental refresh for Power BI Pro
We are not sure why Azure DW should be used if atall if there is not incremental upload. Someone in the comments has rightly put the cost of the on basis DWU and its really shocking to know that every refresh would be burning hole in my clients pocket !!!
Also if i use other sources like SSAS / Tabular with direct query it restricts me from creating any Measures and Calculated columns. So i dont get it how exactly are we intending to use powerbi in large datasets & scale out structures ??

I totally agree with this request. This is a must have feature.

Tableau supports this and the data model becomes very efficient to process. It's a must have functionality for someone to move from tools like Tableau....

under review ... more then 1,5 years :( ! Last 3 updates bring some good news, but incremental update (well known in SQL) and for example TOP filters will be excellent !
