As has been partly implemented with Filters, it would be very useful to have slicers that could apply to all pages of a report. This would allow users to interact more easily.

The most exciting news so far this year! In the February release of Power BI Desktop we've shipped the ability to synchronize slicers on different pages in your report! Incomplete. Needs to work the same way as setup in the report, in the dashboard. for example if i pin the two live pages from the report to a dashboard they should remain synced

It doesn't work when you view this in the Dashboard view and pin the different pages.

Hi, totally agree with previous comments that this release doesn't quite fulfill the request. Syncing slicers means we have to include the slicer on every page of a report, when the idea is to have the user make their selection only once in, for example, the first page.

Great, this really helps but would be much better if ithere was an option to set it to only work one way or both ways between synced pages.
If I set a slicer to sync other pages, and several of those pages already contains a slicer with the same field, slicing on any of those pages wil sync all slicers across those pages as well.This really limits how this can be used.
For example; Id like a page with some global slicers connected to all pages that users can set as a starting point; if they chose to. But on individual pages still be able to slice and dig down to granular "page specific" levels without syncing all those other pages that contain a similar slicer.

I think this is still incomplete as it doesn'twork well on the cloud version. It doesn't work when you view tis in the Dashboard view and pin the different pages. Also it seems like a make shift solution as the idea was to have one slicer that could act as a single command for different pages, instead it's syncing other slicers in these pages...yeah I can hide the slicers in the pages using selection pane but still it's imperfect. I haven't tried publishing the report as yet so can't speak on that front. Please don't close this as there's still lots of improvements required to this feature.

A report level slicer is really a must !!!!

This does not work! I have 3 slicers on a page, all default slicers and NO custom slicers. This will NOT work on more than two slicers.

Excellent feature, a huge thanks to the the BI team for developing this. It will be a big help for my client dashboards

Thank you for this enhancement as it was sorely needed, but like others have mentioned below, I use the custom hierarchy slicer so users can easily break down to see who reports to who and filter. A bit disappointing to see that this functionality is only for built in slicers. I haven't really seen Microsoft re-work a closed ticket and considering this is 2.5 years old with so many comments, I opened another here for all those who need this functionality to expand to custom visuals.
