We generally show help icons as images in the dashboard. If we can have the hyperlink option on this help icon it would be great.
Hyperlink option is already available on the text object, same can be present on the image control.

Is it at least possible to add the image, put a url link, make the url link the same color as the background and put it in inside the image?

This is a basic feature in Tableau.
