    Thanks for your feedback - at this time, we're not planning to add this capability to Power BI Report Server. We understand this will be disappointing to many of you who've voted and provided feedback, and this wasn't a decision made lightly. And of course, you'll continue to see investments in these capabilities in the Power BI service going forward.

    review it for a future release,because in current release those maps didn't appear in Power BI Portal

    This mapping visual is so much more powerful than the older Bing version, it is a really important update for us. We have a lot of Social Housing property that we own, manage and repair and the map feature really helps improve insight into our large datasets. It also adds an impressive visual that wins over new comers to our dashboards, increasing engagement and winning support from senior managers. Our data is very sensitive, lots of personal details, which means we have a directive to keep our data on prem, using the Cloud is some way off for us, and as others comment GDPR adds further complexity to this route.

    We need it on prem given the users needs the possibility to make selections of positions in a map by pointing and clicking, which is not possible in Power BI Resport Server today. We use Power BI Report Server on-prem at the Company (Insurance) but we can’t yet use it for geographical analysis which means that we have to use the cloud which gives us implications in relation to being compliant with GDPR.
