Thanks everyone for your feedback – We have just released a new Amazon Redshift connector with the Power BI Desktop July Update! This connector is currently in Preview and it allows users to Import data or create a DirectQuery report based on Amazon Redshift data. In future releases, this connector will also be supported in Power BI Service and Gateway for Refresh purposes. Stay tuned! Please take a look at the Update Announcement blog (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-july-feature-summary/) and to this documentation article for more details: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-desktop-connect-redshift/

RE: Add AWS Redshift data source
Many of my clients are either using Redshift or are in the process of incorporating Redshift as part of their BI solution. I definitely want to see Redshift support in this process.
RE: Add AWS Redshift data source
We are using RedShift and have users who would like to connect Power BI to the Redshift DW, it would seal the deal for us to use Power BI if there was Redshift support/connectivity.
RE: Add AWS Redshift data source
We too will not be able to use power BI without Redshift support.
RE: Add AWS Redshift data source
Hi Will,
We have a client that uses RedShift and this would be a key requirement for their adoption of Power BI.
Thanks
Giles
RE: Add AWS Redshift data source
hi Will,
a major component of our analytics framework is in AWS Redshift (and it does an excellent job), without Redshift connectivity it's difficult for us to justify using the excellent tools that Power BI brings.
I'm very interested in any roadmap you have around this.
thanks,
Rich
