Embed Power BI Report Server reports into extranet apps

Allow Embedding of Power BI Report Server Reports for Extranet Apps. Because of our clients needs data cannot leave our servers and be put on the cloud. Our existing SSRS reports are displayed using a report viewer object, however this will not work for PBIX. We need to ability to embed PBIX and display it externally. Is this going to be possible with Power BI report Server?

Wanted to post an update to one of the pieces called out for this item - In a future update for the product, we're planning to do work to introduce support for ADFS/AAD in Power BI Report Server, and at the same time do work to enable your app to override user authentication in a secure way.

So the Microsoft didn't push that update to Power BI on-prem server to get anonymous authentication?

Has there been any update about Power BI authentication of external users, or ADFS/AAD support?

We have inhouse applications using forms authentication that would like to embed Power BI reports. ReportViewerControl works for SSRS reports but it does not work when we change the url to a power BI report. Why are y'all delaying this fix when this issue has been raised for over a year. There is a compelling reason for the Power BI team to incorporate this feature/Fix the issue when there are significant number of clients that do not want to publish content to cloud.

Could you please provide a date when this capability is provided.

Please can you come out with a delivery date? It seemed so close to be released and then nothing... We really need this feature in order to secure embed Powerbi reports within web applications. Please keep us posted!

We too are looking at this solution but are waiting on confirmation of custom auth. An update on this would be greatly appreciated.

This is a very important update - I'd ask that the inclusion of setting the CustomData field dynamically be included so we can use RLS in live connections
