    SSAS Tabular Connector without Active Directory Sync?

    There should be a way to use the SSAS Tabular Connector without AD Sync, e.g. by using CustomData on the connection string.

    Thanks for the suggestion, Teo! Is anyone else in a position where they can't use the SSAS Connector because they aren't using AD Synchronization? If so, please add your vote here!

    It Is impossible to do a Proof of Concept with a customer without a AD-Sync on Cloud.

    Just adding another comment to express frustration! Power BI and Windows log in are the same, but still the connector does not work...

    This is needless complexity. Just to use Power BI you have to use active directory? Are you going to destroy R by making that simple product into some ridiculous thing requiring a full-time admin? No wonder so many people use Tableau.

    Yes! My work email and my Power BI email are the same, and still this doesn't work. Sigh!

    Any news on timeframe for allowing HTTPS pump? This allows us to work with models that have dynamic security rather than row level security which is a very popular way of managing security on dimensions, etc..
