There is currently no customisation for sorting of matrices. Please copy existing Excel functionality to sort by row name or by value fields ascending or descending.

RE: Matrix - Sort rows by value (asc or desc)
Are you serious that I can't sort e.g. sales figures in ascending/descending order? This is the most basic feature of a table/matrix I can think of! It's comparable to not being able to send texts on my mobile... Please fix this asap!
RE: Matrix - Sort rows by value (asc or desc)
Just piling on. A really necessary feature!
RE: Matrix - Sort rows by value (asc or desc)
I get the sense that this feature is too hard for the Power BI MDX developers to figure out. I wish they would prove me wrong. :)
RE: Matrix - Sort rows by value (asc or desc)
Will Power BI resolve this issue? Tableau still reigns supreme
RE: Matrix - Sort rows by value (asc or desc)
I need to sort by multi-year matrix with the current year to the left (descending) and my rows by category. Can I really not do this?
RE: Matrix - Sort rows by value (asc or desc)
This is so fundamental, it's ridiculous. If you are displaying detail or showing values for different categories, you absolutely must be able to sort the rows and columns in a useful way. I am displaying pay grades by job titles, and the following sorting for columns is so ridiculous, it's embarrassing: 0 1 10 2 3 32 33 34 4 48 49 5 6...
RE: Matrix - Sort rows by value (asc or desc)
Sorting matrixs table's row value by ascending or descending order is definitely needed.
RE: Matrix - Sort rows by value (asc or desc)
A work around that I have found is to remove the columns the sort your values and add the columns back, however if you need it to interactive this will not be a solution for you.
RE: Matrix - Sort rows by value (asc or desc)
The same happens to me, if I can solve it ... :(
IF([flagSelect1]"Absolutos",
FORMAT(DIVIDE (
CALCULATE(SUM(sm_matrix[Negativo])),
CALCULATE(SUM(sm_matrix[Negativo]), ALLEXCEPT(sm_matrix, sm_matrix[Semana CampaƱa]))
),"Percent"), FORMAT(CALCULATE(SUM(sm_matrix[Negativo])),"#,##0"))
RE: Matrix - Sort rows by value (asc or desc)
It is possible to sort by row name now.
But still not possible to sort by value if you have a field in "Columns". You cannot click on the columns to sort by value, it is only possible on the Total-column.
