Thanks everyone for your feedback – We have just released a new Amazon Redshift connector with the Power BI Desktop July Update! This connector is currently in Preview and it allows users to Import data or create a DirectQuery report based on Amazon Redshift data. In future releases, this connector will also be supported in Power BI Service and Gateway for Refresh purposes. Stay tuned! Please take a look at the Update Announcement blog (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-july-feature-summary/) and to this documentation article for more details: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-desktop-connect-redshift/

If there's any way to make sure this connector works for the on-prem connectivity of forthcoming other cloud service purposes too, that'd be great. (Read: Dynamics 365)
