Top n Filter should be allowed on multiple fields and/or against multiple facts. For example - show top 10 sales people and lowest 10 products (both facts should be true to be displayed). As of April 2017, only one top n filter is allowed, so I'm exporting data to Excel for reporting.

Also, wish Excel could use my .pbix file as a data source for the PowerPivot data model - then i could easily work with any of the data (including all the measures). Power BI is a fantastic tool, but still needs Excel at times.

RE: Top n filter

Hi,

When using "Top N" feature on visuals, please make it possible to add "Other".

So selecting "Top N" based on Sales, it would be possible to select "Group rest as Other".

I can there are several workarounds with ranks, but I don't find it very dynamic with slicers etc. This would be gamechanger!

RE: Top n filter

Editing dataflows can be quite painful. What would help would be if information about them - and processing steps - could be saved along with the dataflow, so that when opening one to edit, rather than having to wait for processing to finish, it opened with sample data immediately.

RE: Top n filter

It will be nice to have option to suppress middle values in table. In summary we will have: top N records, suppressed "line" that can be expanded (show all records), bottom N records. Thanks!

RE: Top n filter

Such a shame it was not implemented with TopN feature. Development team does not have any clue about analytics and charting?

RE: Top n filter

To allow top N on each visual, being able to select the measure from which the Top N will filter the data.

RE: Top n filter

Actually it is not possible to use a WhatIf parameter for a TopN filter.
This mean that the user is not able to dynamically set the amount of rows in the Visual filtered by a TopN.

This should not be a big deal to add this feature.

Thank you
Regards
Salvatore

RE: Top n filter

Can we have top / bottom N filter just above the visual in the report page for easy navigation for selection of Top / Bottom N filter. This feature is available in Tableau so that people migrating from Tableau to Power BI should have the same experience instead of selecting the visual and navigating to the right filter section for applying filter. Thanks in advance.

RE: Top n filter

I'd like to be able to filter TOP N dynamically, taking a value from a slicer. The TOP N filter seems to accept only a hard-coded value.
