RE: Allow Power Query to Export Data
Well, you can run Python or R script at the end and do whatever you need (csv/excel export, write to db, etc.).
RE: Allow Power Query to Export Data
Great idea!
Why not use the same "Transform UI" for your Datawarehouse ETL experience?
And use CDS-A / Data Flows as storge.
Or add Power Query to Azure Data Factory / Azure DW, ...
RE: Allow Power Query to Export Data
Power Query is an incredibly powerful ETL tool. Opening it up, so that it could be used to load data outside of Excel/Power BI/SSAS Tabular would probably make it the best ETL tool in the WORLD! This is a must!
RE: Allow Power Query to Export Data
Yes, yes, yes.
RE: Allow Power Query to Export Data
Yep, Powerquery is my preferred ETl tool but i still revert to other ETL tools whenever i need the output in a SQL table or csv. Please add this feature.

GREAT IDEA!
RE: Allow Power Query to Export Data
PowerBI (and Power Query) is getting very close to Killer App status. This would move it along that pathway significantly. There is limited use in a tool that can take data from almost anywhere, perform almost any transformation and then not externalise the result.
Note that a lot of other suggestions on this site also arguably would be satisfied by taking this on - and so I feel this feature is under-represented in vote count.
RE: Allow Power Query to Export Data
For those interested, this blog shows how to do this with PowerShell, really straightforward, works great even with large data.
