I have volumes of information to share with my teams that is best presented in tables and matrices. It would be a huge improvement if they were able to export the data from the visualizations and have the formatting in Excel match the formatting created within PowerBI.
This would be especially helpful for ongoing forecasting activities.

Thanks for your feedback on this issue - while we'd like to enable this, there is currently no timetable around doing so. There is the option as a workaround the create a paginated view as a drillthrough of the visual and have a formatted version you can export to Excel, but understand this isn't a solution everyone can take advantage of currently.

This needs to be added as a feature. We currently use Analyze in Excel, but it is not an efficient solution for many.

We are currently migrating a number of reports to Power BI whilst testing that the data matches, discovered that I cannot export the data into excel as a matrix - the other reporting tool used exported perfectly.
This means that we will need to work on the excel document which is adding extra time .. I was extremely surprised that I could not export a very simple matrix......

Since 2016 people asked for this and around 4000 votes, now almost we are in 2021, every month I update so hopefully Microsoft added this, till now it didn't

A valid reason for users to be upset. This request has been ongoing for such a long time and is part of the top 10 ideas now and microsoft still can't comment on a timeline. They probably can't get it right like Qlikview has. Not sure what reason for the lack of communication on this feature is Sujata. Your Team really needs to look into this. Users are really frustrated.

Are there any updates on this feature since January? This is critical and, from a user standpoint, basic missing functionality between two Microsoft products.

This is the biggest deficiency I see with Power BI, 4,000 votes!!!!. End users need to quickly be able to cut and past into excel.
Until this happens I am still building functions in excel from the ground up.

Please add this feature! Even if I could export to PDF and show the ENTIRE matrix instead of just one page would be helpful.
