Export a report directly in Excel (not only via csv file)

Exporting to Excel from Power BI is supported. You have two options for exporting your data to Excel: * Once you publish to the Power BI service, you can export your data to Excel by clicking on the ... button for any visual. See more info here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-service-export-data/ * You can use the Analyze in Excel feature to connect directly to your model in Excel: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-service-analyze-in-excel/

RE: export excel
Yes Please. The business people are struggling with this issue
RE: export excel
Exporting numbers with leading zeros also requires the use of the import wizard, just opening the csv removes these leading zeros. Another vote for the option to export to xls(x)!
RE: export excel
From the financial world exporting to Excel directly is a must have, since anything with 16 digit numbers looses the 16th digit when going from CSV to excel, unless you go through the import wizard. Which as others have mentioned is a real challenge to explain to users
RE: export excel
I'd like Excel too, because explaining to a regional manager in Thailand how to import a csv with the right decoder is hell :P
RE: export excel
This is needed when working with non ascii characters (like Chinese). They are not shown properly when openend in excel directly from csv. For our customers it is too difficult to open/import the csv in the proper way(with UTF set right).
RE: export excel
It is good as long as it is working. Looks like it was working before but now there is no menu option to export to csv (excel).
RE: export excel
