Today the bubble size is automatically readjusted and does not allow to have bubbles too large or too small.
I would like to have the option to disable this and have the area of my bubble to be always proportional to the 'size' value.

RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
If you download the visual called MapBox, that should work.
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
This must be fixed ASAP, it makes the bubble map completely useless. Need to allow to scale & chose if size (surface) or diamater or bubble proportional to variable (or square of variable to exacerbate the visual effect). The current feature is completely useless. All dots end up almost similar size in some cases despite significantly different values.
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
I also noticed the same issue. The bubble map does not seem to be correct since all bubbles have almost the same size although there is a clear difference between them. The added feature Format>Bubbles>Size is not fixing this issue as the size of all bubbles change equally. This feature is useful but the issue unfortunately remains.
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
I Really want to fix the proportional bubble size by the data value size
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
Why in heaven's name has this simple yet essential problem not been fixed yet? Without any kind of response or acknowledgement from Microsoft, no less.
It is mind-boggling to be frank.
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
Yes, its March 2020, this idea is still not implemented. We are all seeing bubble world maps with the coronavirus - stay safe everyone!
Reminded me to try again to use bubble maps for my data, and once again realized how unhelpful it is that there still is a minimum bubble size that makes the units of 1 or two to be about 45% the the size of the maximum unit count (62) on the page (I measured the size of the bubbles and compared). So because the one unit bubble is so big, the other ones with 12-15 units are only about 10% bigger, hardly able to detect. The bubble slider is already at 0%, so that's not helping.
At the end of the day, you could present a minimal bubble size of less than a few pixels and it would still convey the data you wanted, esp if in a high contrast color. Its about being able to read the information visually, and quickly. having this current minimal difference in sizes between the max and tiniest is really not helpful for that.

I 162nd this! Also - please have functionality similar to x/y axis where you can define begin/end (largest/smallest) values. Create same thing for bubbles.
Microsoft creates amazing AI/ML tools - you have it in you to create a functional bubble chart! We believe in you!
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
I 24th this suggestion.
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
Please fix this, it would be really helpful especially if you consider that Excel has this feature.
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
They claim this has been fixed by the 'Bubbles' slider, but it has no effect! Microsoft clearly doesn't validate these so-called improvements. If you wonder why I would never recommend PBI to anyone, this is one of the countless inadequacies.
