I should be able to order the "legend" and the values for each legend category in a stacked bar chart. This is similar to "series order" feature in Excel

RE: Custom order for legend
We should have the ability to sort the rows appearing in a table or matrix based on a column that is not being displayed (eg a SortOrder field). Currently possible in SSRS (by default it respects the data order).
This seems to work for charts but not for tables. For example i would like HR row data in the table to be displayed in order of Job Seniority, which is only indicated by a numerical field in the source data that i do not want to display. Currently the table defaults to alphabetical order and can only be corrected by including the SortOrder column.
RE: Custom order for legend
In Tableau you can drag the fields in a chart into a different sort order and Tableau remembers it as a new sort order when the field is used again. Is PowerBI getting this feature?
My department is evaluating whether we can switch from Tableau to PowerBI and we would need this feature.

RE: Custom order for legend
This would be a great feature! please share us if you are implementing it
Cheers!
RE: Custom order for legend
definitely please add, my stacked bar charts make no sense without this haha
RE: Custom order for legend
PULEASE ADD AND STAT!
RE: Custom order for legend
This would be handy. There are workarounds, like creating measures for each segment and adding them individually to the chart. But that is just plain ugly.
RE: Custom order for legend
Should be a priority if Power BI really wants to be an option for dashboarding or any application people have to share with management or an audience outside of data crunchers.
RE: Custom order for legend
Need to easily sort stacks by values inside a column while maintaining order specified on X axis.
