I have a report page with multiple charts and visualizations. Let's say one of the chart shows Sales by Year and I drill down into 2013 to see the sales by month in 2013. Currently, the drill-down has no effect on the other charts and visualizations on the page; they still show data for all years, not just for 2013. Instead, I'd like other charts to drill down into 2013 or filter by 2013 as well.

Well this is exciting! We've just shipped the December release of Power BI Desktop, and I'm very pleased to say we've added the ability to apply filters from a visual when you drill into it. This is now the default for any new visuals; you can turn it on for existing visuals (or disable it if you don't want it) through the Format tab. Look for "Drilling filters other visuals". I need these feature too! On qlikview is the normal behaviour!

My company is considering a broader implementation of Power BI, and during demos of the product, one of the most common questions is why drilling does not filter the rest of the page. It is causing hesitation in management adoption of Power BI. We would love to see this added!

This is a very important feature. It's ridiculous to look at sales for 2015 and not have a product list filter to just those products.

We need this . Surprised that it does not work now. We are trying to recreate an SAP dashboard designer report and missing this functionality is as mentioned earlier surprising. Hopefully it will get fixed soon.

This is a MUST have, otherwise cross-filtering will be meaningless. It would be a big plus if the tile by in charts works the same way.

This feature is a must along with being able to drill down in dashboards. Also you should consider disabling the drill down button, when the chart is already showing the axis base of the hierarchy (like what is already implemented with the drill up button)

I want the "Single Arrow" Drill Down to drill down or cross filter other visualizations on the page. Double Arrow Drill down with link to other visualizations on the page. I am happy I can do this with the Double Arrow" Drill down, but it would make the learning curve for this tool much easier for my executive team users if they could also use the "Single Arrow" drill down button to drill down/cross-filter other visualizations on the page. This would be an advantage and benefit that Tableau does not offer today.

This idea is a must have for a visualization tool lile this and should havr been incorporated long back even before GA. Drill thorugh is not of much use on an indivdual chart, it works well when you look at combination of charts to get a clear picture. User not always focus on single visualization, rather a view to complete dashboard is required to have a full view of business/kpi etc.

Please consider this feature as currently, either highlight or filter doesn't give any new insight on the data :( Also, please make this available on the dashboards.

This feature needs to be implemented soon. Vote up guys! Make them note this idea
