Be able to create email subscriptions for the PBIX reports in the Report Server

We’d hoped we’d have a good way to bring this functionality to the server – however, similarly to Export to PDF, after a lengthy evaluation of all the options and required investments, we’re not planning to bring this feature to the server at this time.

We are going through a comparison of PBI and Tableau right now, and this feature is key functionality for us as well !

I think that in order to truly do subscriptions Parameters will need to be supported first. You would have to be able to set certain values for the report to have a subscription send it out. Our goal is to send the output of a report to certain users allowing them to see the data in the email so they don't have to access the server to view it. something we have done on the SSRS type reports for a long time. This is the #1 request of our users.

Since the PBI Report server is a stripped down SSRS 2017 with the BI engine why can this be added soon?

This is THE key functionality we need in order to embrace PBIRS. We must be able to set up subscriptions for other users.
