What about adding input fields to the dashboard widgets. Kind of like the text field but it is enabled for user input. This input field can be used in new column and new measure fields so that once the dashboard is set up the user can easily (without filtering) explore the data by entering different values such as if you had an input box for unit price. Then if you change it all the charts of total sales, revenue, etc. Will update to reflect what would happen if you increase the price by 10%. This will enable people to quickly and easily interrogate the data

Hi everyone. This is something we'd like to get to in the future but don't have any plans for at the moment.

RE: input fields

This would be exceptionally useful. I am looking at relative weightings of data, and it would be brilliant to allow users to experiment with their own weightings - the input weightings on screen and the formulae use them to display alternative results.

RE: input fields

There should be variables that can be defined during refresh and the altered by users using sliders/input fields. And then various measures or other references to hardcoided variables can just reference $variableName

RE: input fields

Any updates? This'll be very useful for what if analysis and Top X charts.

RE: input fields

This is a feature that would really enable smarter forecasts, as the domain experts can make sure the assumptions like up with what experience tells them. Also, it allows for sensitivity analysis... what components really drive the bottom line.

RE: input fields

Please check out the PowerApps integration https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/embed-an-app/. Note that will not solve things like top N, Bin size etc those scenarios will need to be solved with visual specific UI.
