PowerPoint Export to take into account filters that have been applied to the report prior to export. This is essential for users which need to filter on historic dates and then wish to export the report with those details.

RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied

This feature would exponentially increase the ability to use Power BI as a presentation tool across various settings. I tried to take the survey, but it appears to have been closed. Would love an update on this feature.

RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied

I think the easiest way to handle this is when a user goes to export the report a script checks if filters are applied and prompts the user. "This report has filters/slices applied do you want to export using the current filters or report default?" This logic should apply to many of your export-to options.

The next logical step would be to show the available slicers in a report and allow the user to change them before export. Or bare minimum include on the warning screen which slicers were used and what they're currently set to.

An astute report writer should include a dynamic field that listed what filters were applied so there was no question what filters were set when the report was exported.

RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied

is there any updates on this?

It's a must have feature for the export to use all filters applied to the report when exporting.

RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied

It'd be vital for end user to slice the report in Power BI app and export the sliced report to a PowerPoint. This is needed for example to produce material for board meetings and such.
