It would be great if slicers were searchable. Many times the list of possible items people can slice by is large, and having to scroll till you find the value(s) you are looking for is tedious.

Please enable slicers to be searchable (much like what Qlik has been allowing for years already).

Thanks.

Searchable slicers are available now in Power BI! Make sure you're on the June release or later of Power BI Desktop. You can find the search box by clicking the "..." menu on the slicer visual and selecting search.

RE: Searchable Slicer

This is great, but there is one bug. In order for users to see the search box once the report is published, you must toggle the "... - Search" on EVERY slicer BEFORE it is published. Else the user viewing the report in an App has no way of clicking search. Not sure if this is by design, but it feels buggy.

x 100000000000
This is great but we need to SELECT ALL once the list is filtered by our key word in the search box

Also possibility to look for more than 1 word!

Where is this feature now? Did you disable this function again?

RE: Searchable Slicer

Hi Kim

Is there any work in progress to improve the search capabilities on the slicers? Have you ever thought in adding more than one field to the slicer so the search capability of searching things around can be more powerful. I have seen this feature in QlikView where you can add n number of fields on the search button. Here is the idea: you may want to add something similar to the tooltips where you can drop some extra fields that can be used on the search box of the slicers. The explanation: let´s say that you have several plants in US and their names are just a code, but they are linked to a zip code, city, state or a particular area (East, South East, etc) so not everyone have the capability to memorize the names of these plants by codes but they can remember the city or the area, so they can enter that reference in the search field so Power BI can filter the results based on that criteria...

RE: Searchable Slicer

I was just thinking 'A searchable slicer would be really good'. Checked the Power BI website and here it is. Great stuff. Would be good to merge the slicer functions onto the table visual too.
