We really love the new feature of 'Composite Models' in the Power BI July 2018 update! This enables us to join custom lists with DirectQuery sources.
It would also be beneficial if this would also work when connected to SSAS Tabular in DirectQuery.
This would stronlgy improve the enterprise features of Power BI.

We desperately need this to be able to deliver an IT managed self service solution. Provide enough flexibility for the business to combine their own data with watermarked trusted data sources.

Any news or plan for this idea? It would be an awesome feature for doing quick ad-hoc analyses on published tabular models together with different other data!!!

Multiple connections to different data sources are very essential .... specially when it comes to live data to combine with locally imported data .... thanks

This is really important! And not only for SSAS but for all live connections (i.e. SAP Hana) as well

we really need this, we're having to add all our performance data to our SSAS cube at huge expense because we can't combine data other sources in the same dashboard :-(

Please can we have an update or indicative time frame on this? It is a much needed feature.
