I would like the option to set global data colors for my reports based on a specific field within the data, that will impact all charts using that field.

For example, in our current data set we have a field 'Customer'. Each customer is assigned their own unique color that corresponds to our other documentation, to make charts easier to interpret.

Currently, I have to set the 'data colors' options for every single chart that uses the 'Customer' field. Whenever a new customer appears in our data set, I have to modify the data colors for multiple charts individually.

I would like the option to be able to set data colors for this field on a report-level basis.

RE: Global Data Colors

I concur! Manually creating category/color uniformity across reports for my users is time consuming. I wish weekly, sometimes daily, that this feature existed.

RE: Global Data Colors

Wouldn't it make sense to have a Color Values box on the 'fields' view that you could drop a column into to set color values instead of having to go into the format view?

When you have a multi-page report with 4 to 7 Line and stacked column charts per page, it takes significant time to update all of them.

RE: Global Data Colors

Please make this an option - it's so fiddly and time consuming have to go to each individual visualisation and then select the data colours!

RE: Global Data Colors

Yes, PLEASE! I am constantly having to change data colors for the same field being used across multiple pages. I'd use a measure to set the color but my boss prefers PieCharts and DonutCharts for a certain analysis and the advanced controls for data colors aren't enabled there.

RE: Global Data Colors

I can't believe there are only 65 votes on this. I'm sure majority of users deal with this. Tableau has this feature and saves a lot of time...

RE: Global Data Colors

Please do this. I want the same color to represent the same unique items across multiple charts and it takes a long time to set up.

RE: Global Data Colors

It's late june 2019, I was going to ask this feature and I understood it was requested 3 years ago. Too bad it has been not implemented, I find absurd this gap in a professional system.
