I have volumes of information to share with my teams that is best presented in tables and matrices. It would be a huge improvement if they were able to export the data from the visualizations and have the formatting in Excel match the formatting created within PowerBI.
This would be especially helpful for ongoing forecasting activities.

Thanks for your feedback on this issue - while we'd like to enable this, there is currently no timetable around doing so. There is the option as a workaround the create a paginated view as a drillthrough of the visual and have a formatted version you can export to Excel, but understand this isn't a solution everyone can take advantage of currently.

This is a major disappointment with the Power BI Service. Many simple web pages and sql reports allows the viewed data to be exported to excel with the same formatting. I really do hope this improvement can be deployed soonest as without this many customers are losing interest in Power BI.

I cant believe this hasn't been developed considering the idea itself is 4 years old. This makes it difficult to use Power BI over tableau for my business.

This is a fundamental feature... expecially for my colleagues with Mac device that cannot use powerquery in their Excel

Our customers ask for data to export in a matrix format regularly and when I tell them it can't, they find the tool to be a waste of time to reformat. Being able to export a matrix in the same format it appears in the visual would greatly improve our customers' experience.

please do it, for god sake we are asking for this since 2016 is that hard to implement that 4 years past and we still didn't get it!!!
