This is a continuation of "Allow runtime parameters in Power View and/or Power Query". Request this capability in Power BI Online so users can go to a dashboard and easily be able to search for a list of values. Currently the user would need to use a slicer and individual select each value. An example would be if I had list of part numbers to search in the dashboard. Currently I would need to scroll up and down in a slicer and individually select each one. In SSRS I can create a parameter dropdown and easily type in and even copy and paste values in to search for.

RE: Power BI Online Query Parameters
Current parameter feature is almost useless. It cannot be used form power BI service. Changing the parameters is basic need of any reporting tool. Please add this feature.......
RE: Power BI Online Query Parameters
This is functionality is absolute must for us to migrate to Power BI from SSRS
RE: Power BI Online Query Parameters
This is a real blocker for us to migrate from SSRS.

RE: Power BI Online Query Parameters
Adding vote with clear reason: A Power BI model with multiple temporal fact tables/views that all have From/Start and To/End dates and use cases that will always require a specific run date to qualify the rows returned. A date picker combo box would be a nice as well. Support for temporal tables is going to be a must moving forward.
RE: Power BI Online Query Parameters
Any update on this idea? This from 2016..Hoping there is progress as we are now nearing the end of 2017.
RE: Power BI Online Query Parameters
We cannot move away from SSRS and start using Power BI Report Server without this functionality.
It is absolutely a deal breaker, and it cannot come soon enough.
We are presented with the solution to use slicers on the report, however that doesn't cut it when we have a lot of data in the back end it just isn't responsive and we have excruciating load times.

You have a point there! I agree with you.
RE: Power BI Online Query Parameters
This is a killer functionality that are already present on Tibco Spotfire that block us to migrate to power bi.
