Today the bubble size is automatically readjusted and does not allow to have bubbles too large or too small.
I would like to have the option to disable this and have the area of my bubble to be always proportional to the 'size' value.

RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
I like Power BI a lot, but it is baffling that real bubble sizes are not yet implemented. This is critically broken functionality in my opinion.
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
We've tried to use some log function in the measure that determines bubble size, tom emphasize small values but the root problem remains : size ratio between biggest and smallest size is approx 3. This should be customizable, like "min size" (points) and "max size" (points) parameters. Instead of this odd slider that ranges from -30 to +30...
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
Yes, agreed.
Still an issue on Version: 2.70.5494.761 64-bit (June 2019)
It's concerning, as it can really mislead until you notice what's happening
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
I was surprised to see this is still an issue.
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
This is so basic that can hardly believe it wasn't addressed already!
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
They seem to indicate that a March 2019 update helped to solve this problem, but in reality it just uniformly changes the size of all bubbles:
https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-march-2019-feature-summary/#bubbleSize
There should be an option to adjust the level of differential among bubble sizes. In the case of a range with a max of 80,000 and a min of 1, this at maximum differential should essentially render the bubble for a 1 value nearly or entirely invisible on the map and a very large bubble for the 80,000 value. Allowing a user to shift the differential around to find an appropriate balance between size accuracy and visibility to suit their needs would be the ideal solution.
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
Yes agree. This is a bug in power bi, not a feature request. The bubble map is essentially useless if the bubble size doesn't represent what it's supposed to represent. All we're asking is for the chart to do what it's supposed to do. This is kinda embarrassing for Power BI to have charts that don't do what they're described as doing on a basic level.
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
I feel like this shouldn't be a request but rather a bug filing. Shouldn't the bubble/scatter chart be displaying values proportionately? I.e., we're not requesting a new feature, we're requesting the visualization control be fixed to work the way it should, no?
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
I totally agree, the area of each bubble should be proportional to its "size" value!
Otherwise the chart is really misleading as it does not show the real relative size of each item...
RE: Display the real (proportional) size of bubbles
We are facing the same issue with the scatter (bubble) chart, which makes it useless in our situation.
Even using artificial numbers is not helping....
Please fix this bug
