The FORMAT () function should be extremely flexible for conditionally formatting measures based on slicers and so on. But right now not even chart visuals agree with it. Please fix it? Pretty please?

Hi all!
In this article you can find some workaround to make your numbers formatted in dynamic way:

This would be a very helpful feature.

Have created visuals that allow user to dynamically choose measures to display but need to way to dynamically format the numbers, since some are percentage, decimal, integers, etc.

I need this to plot a measure trend using the switch functionality to switch between unit types (%, currency, whole number etc). It seems to work ok for tooltips but not plotting on a chart
RE: Option to FORMAT () values as numbers (not strings)
Would really love this as a feature. Without this, the use of dynamic metrics is limited.

By when we can expect this functionality?

Can't believe this isn't supported already! I want to use a dynamic measure that switches between Sales and Units (using FORMAT to convert between "$#,##0" and "#,##0.00"). The measure works beautifully, but I lose the ability to sort the table because it is now recognized as text!
Such a basic feature that is desperately needed. Please fix!
